Family vs. Work Self-Loop

The figure on the right explores the Family vs. Work dilemma.  Scheme A broadens the original two concepts (shown in green) into four, of which only three are sufficiently “orthogonal” (consider the overlap between ‘desire for stability’ and ‘contentment and stability’). Scheme B illustrates the causal interconnections among these concepts. Concepts in green are relatively close to the original dichotomy of Home vs. Work, while the concept represented in blue is not as intuitively apparent. Fostering connections to and from this less obvious concept is crucial.

Scheme C illustrates the shifts that take place when the previously mentioned interconnectedness is severed. All concepts become ‘overdeveloped,’ and what was once perceived freedom morphs into a web of self-made misconceptions. Utilize descriptions of intermediate steps as guidelines to discern your current state and employ various ‘profiling and tuning schemes’ for breakthroughs
